Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Service Excellence Ambassador in Augusta, GA for an evening shift. This role focuses on exceptional patient and visitor services, managing information desks, and facilitating communication among patients, families, and staff.

The ambassador supports advocacy, expedites admissions, and ensures needs are met with courtesy and confidentiality. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, assisting with wheelchairs, answering phones, and maintaining lobby order.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum two years in a consumer advocacy or service role.
• Healthcare or hospital guest services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visitation management and information for visitors/patients while maintaining confidentiality.
• Facilitate communication between patient, family and hospital staff.
• Advocate for patients, expedite admission and other delays.
• Resolve problems and escalate when necessary.
• Respond to special needs and ensure needs are met.
• Greet and direct visitors, assist with wheelchairs as needed.
• Answer multi-line phone and transfer callers.
• Oversee information desks and lobbies cleanliness and order.
• Perform other duties as requested.
