IU Health is seeking a Full-Time Night Patient Care Technician (PCA) to support bedside nursing staff by providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include assisting with meals, mobility, baths, and linens, while maintaining safety with gait belts and alarms.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment are essential. Candidates must have Basic Life Support certification and be able to adapt care to diverse patient development

Qualifications

• Requires current Basic Life Support certification through the AHA or attainment of the IU Health PCA education program.
• Knowledge of care appropriate to the age and developmental level of the patients served.
• Up-to-date knowledge of procedures and standards related to patient care activities.
• Proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide bedside care to patients under RN supervision and report abnormalities to the RN or charge nurse.
• Assist with daily patient needs such as meals, mobility, baths, and linen changes.
• Maintain patient safety using gait belts and alarms and stay within reach during patient movement.
