IU Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCA) for a full-time night shift. The PCA will support bedside care, assist with meals, mobility, hygiene, and linen changes while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

The role requires BLS certification and the ability to monitor vital signs and communicate changes to the RN promptly. As part of IU Health, you will work in a fast-paced hospital environment, emphasizing patient safety and quality care.

Qualifikationen

• Requires current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to obtain vital signs and report abnormalities to RN.
• Knowledge of infection control practices.
• Strong interpersonal communication with patients and team members.
• Able to perform basic math and read care instructions.

Aufgaben

• Provide compassionate bedside care and anticipate patient needs (drinks, meals, linens).
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Obtain and report vitals to the bedside RN or charge nurse.
• Support safety with gait belts and alarms and maintain patient around-the-clock safety.
• Collaborate with the RN to detect changes and facilitate timely interventions.
