Job summary

IU Health in Indianapolis is seeking a Nurse Assistant (PCA) for full-time night shifts to deliver compassionate bedside care. You will assist with meals, mobility, baths, linen changes, and provide drinks to patients, while supporting the bedside RN with vital signs and reporting changes.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained during IU Health PCA education program.
• Ability to obtain vital signs and report abnormalities to RN or charge nurse.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate patient care procedures and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Provide drinks and assist with meal ordering.
• Assist with walking, baths, and linen changes.
• Maintain safety using gait belts, bed and chair alarms, and staying at arm's reach.
• Support bedside RN with clinical tasks and vital sign checks.
