IU Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCA) for the night shift to deliver compassionate bedside care, assist with meals, hygiene, and mobility, and provide comfort through basic patient needs.

You will support the bedside RN by taking vital signs, reporting changes, and ensuring patient safety with gait belts and alarms. This full‑time role offers a strong benefits package and opportunities for development within a premier hospital system.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support certification through the AHA or attainment at the completion of the IU Health PCA education program.
• Knowledge of care appropriate to the age and developmental level of the patients served.
• Up-to-date knowledge of procedures and standards related to patient care activities.
• Proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Obtain vital signs and report abnormalities or changes to the RN.
• Assist with meals, baths, and mobility and provide comfort with basic patient needs.
• Provide drinks, linens and gowns, and support patient cleanliness.
• Maintain patient safety using gait belts and bed/chair alarms and stay within arm’s reach.
