Banner Health seeks a Patient Access Representative Registration Representative in Buckeye, AZ, to serve as the first point of contact for patients and manage administrative access to care, including eligibility verification and insurance coordination in a hospital-based setting.

This role emphasizes superior customer service, accurate data entry, and patient financial counseling while supporting a fast-paced Emergency/Outpatient environment on a Friday–Sunday night schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service or patient financial services experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision and work in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient demographics and inputs data into the EHR to maximize reimbursement.
• Covers multiple services including inpatient, emergency, obstetrics, imaging, etc.
• Explains insurance benefits and verifies eligibility and coverage.
• Assists with financial counseling, patient estimates, and setting up payment plans.
• Ensures compliant collection of patient liability and uses CMS forms as needed.
• Performs other Patient Access tasks and supports the team as required.
