Responsibilities

• Verifies patient demographics and inputs data into the EHR to maximize reimbursement.
• Covers multiple services (inpatient, emergency, obstetrics, imaging) and may work 24/7.
• Understands insurance guidelines and verifies benefits.
• Ensures a positive patient experience through effective communication.
• Submits timely payer notifications and reduces denials per guidelines.
• Explains financial liability and assists with payment options and Banner Financial Assistance.
