Job summary

Banner Health’s Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ seeks a Registered Nurse for the PCU Telemetry unit. The 6th floor 40-bed PCU handles multisystem cases, with training offered for new-to-service nurses. Night shifts, rotating weekends/holidays, 18% night diff, and a $3/hour weekend diff when applicable.

Sign-on bonus of $15,000 available. Ideal candidates have telemetry or acute care background and strong critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice and BLS certification required.
• Telemetry or acute care experience preferred; will train as needed.
• Ability to work night shifts and 3x12-hour shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and plan care based on nursing standards.
• Implement and coordinate care with the health team.
• Document care accurately and timely in patient records.
• Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
• Communicate with patients, families and other caregivers.
• Supervise and support assigned staff as needed.
