Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Medication Technician to support Health Services by administering medications as ordered by physicians and supervised by nursing staff. The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to policies, and resident safety.

The position requires a valid Medication Aide license where applicable, high school education or equivalent, and strong communication with the health team. On-site work with non-exempt status and weekend/NOC shifts.

Qualifications

• Must possess active HCA/CNA license.
• Must have high school education or equivalent.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general instructions and procedures.
• Licensed Medication Aide as per state regulations.
• Ability to document and communicate information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies for administering medications.
• Note and report medication errors.
• Assist in developing procedures to reduce medication errors.
• Complete forms, charts and reports as required.
• Maintain professional relationships with Health Services staff and pharmacists.
• Report residents' complaints to Health Services Director.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and medication-related committees.
• Prepare, administer and document medications as ordered.
• Verify resident identity before administering medications.
