The position requires a state-licensed Medication Aide with training and examination, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong documentation and communication skills to support nursing staff and resident care across the facility.

Qualifikationen

• Must possess a licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with state laws.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials, including procedures and regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information clearly and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Aufgaben

• Follow the facility policies governing medication administration to residents.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Assist in developing procedures to reduce medication errors and improve safety.
• Complete forms, charts, and reports as required.
• Maintain professional relationships with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists.
• Accurately prepare, administer, and document oral/topical medications as ordered.
• Verify resident identity before administering medications.
