Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Medication Technician to assist in the administration of medications to residents under physician orders and nursing supervision. The role requires adherence to facility policies, proper documentation, and active participation in quality assurance activities.

The position is full-time with weekends included. Candidates must hold a state-approved Medication Aide license and be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds while maintaining resident safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Administer, document, and verify medications as ordered by the physician.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Maintain proper labeling and charting of medications.
• Verify resident identity before administering medications.
• Participate in QA programs and facility surveys.
• Assist in ensuring safe medication practices and reporting incidents.
