Job summary

PACS is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents under physician orders, under supervision of the Health Services Director.

Responsibilities include accurately preparing, administering, and documenting medications, adhering to policies, and participating in QA programs. Must hold a state-approved Medication Aide license and high school diploma. Shifts are 2pm–10pm and 10pm–6am.

Qualifications

• Must possess high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training program.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports and communicate with managers and staff.
• Ability to perform administrative tasks and document medications.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies governing medication administration.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Assist in developing procedures to reduce medication errors and improve safety.
• Complete necessary forms, charts, and reports.
• Maintain professional relationships with Health Services staff and pharmacists.
