PACS Group is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to assist in administering medications to residents under physician orders, and under supervision within a health services team. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to facility policies in medication administration.

The position requires a licensed Medication Aide with state training and examination, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Competenze

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with state laws.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds as part of the physical demands of the job.

Mansioni

• Follow the policies and procedures of the facility governing the administering of medications to residents.
• Note and report errors in the administration of medications.
• Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document the oral and/or topical medications that are commonly used in this facility and that may be ordered for resident use by the attending physician or the HSD.
• Verify the identity of the resident before administering the medication treatment.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.
