Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Medical Technologist/POC for the night shift at a 20-bed small-format hospital. You will provide technical assistance and patient care, performing collection and analysis of specimens and reporting results according to protocol.

The role includes supervising lab activities, participating in pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes, and supporting phlebotomy and basic patient care as needed. Night shift differential applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological/Physical Sciences or Medical Laboratory Science is required.
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
• Pennsylvania Market: minimum 6 years core lab experience and Act 33/Act 73 clearances.
• Las Vegas Market: MLS/MLT certification (ASCP or AMT) and Nevada General Supervisor license or ability to obtain within 6 months; minimum 3 years labs experience in non-waived specialties.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests in all areas of the laboratory following established protocols to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collect and process specimens per protocols and technical knowledge.
• Conduct quality control, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting for instruments and reagents.
• Validate and deliver test results and assist with QA issues.
• Follow safety practices and ensure proper documentation for compliance.
• Assist with proficiency testing and corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with clinical departments to provide integrated laboratory services and resolve issues.
• Coordinate pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic activities with Laboratory Director and Technical Consultant.
• Assist with phlebotomy, IV starts, EKGs, vital signs, and patient care within scope of license.
