Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. seeks a Laboratory Technician to provide technical assistance and patient care in a small-format hospital setting.

You will collect, analyze, and report lab specimens, supervise assigned lab activities, and help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities include performing tests, collecting specimens, quality control, and collaborating with clinical departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological/Physical Sciences or Medical Laboratory Science is required.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross is required.
• Pennsylvania market requires 6 years core lab experience and Act 33/Act 73 clearances within last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests in all laboratory areas following protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Collect and process specimens using established protocols.
• Perform quality control and maintenance to ensure proper instrument function.
• Validate and deliver test results and assist with troubleshooting.
• Maintain safety practices and patient privacy at all times.
• Assist with proficiency testing and quality assurance.
• Coordinate with Laboratory Director and staff for lab activities.
• Assist with patient care tasks under state regulations; may include phlebotomy and EKG.
• Travel to facility locations as required.
• Attend meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.
