Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Medical Technologist/POC/MLS for a 20-bed small-format hospital, working the night shift (7P–7A). You will perform lab tests, specimen collection, QA, and patient care under the Laboratory Director, with travel to facility locations as needed.

This full-time role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid over the first year, night/weekend differentials, 401(k) match, paid referrals, and free parking. Strong emphasis on teamwork, diversity, and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological/Physical Sciences or Medical Laboratory Science required.
• Current BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross required.
• Market-specific: PA full qualifications including clearances; LV market MLS/MLT certification and Nevada supervisor license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests and analysis in all lab areas per protocols to meet regulatory and hospital standards.
• Collect/process specimens, perform quality control and instrument maintenance.
• Validate results and assist with troubleshooting and QA issues.
• Follow safety, biohazard, infection control, and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic activities with Lab Director and consultants.
• May assist with phlebotomy, IV starts, EKG initiation, vital signs, and patient care tasks.
