Job summary

Pura Vida Miami invites a hands-on Night Shift Kitchen Lead to join our fast-paced kitchen team in a dynamic lifestyle brand environment. You will oversee overnight production, ensure freshness, manage labeling and safety, and drive clean, organized prep for the next day.

Strong leadership, reliability, and communication are essential. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a busy kitchen, knowledge of tools and equipment, and a valid Food Handler certification.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant environment.
• Ability to lead by example and take initiative during night shifts.
• Familiarity with kitchen tools, equipment, and measurement systems.
• Food Handler Certification as per local requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of all overnight production and ensure readiness for next-day operations.
• Monitor ingredient levels and uphold quality and freshness standards.
• Maintain labeling, food safety, storage and expiration compliance.
• Uphold cleanliness and sanitation across kitchen stations and equipment.
• Restock supplies and prep stations for the following day.
• Perform nightly closing procedures and proper storage of ingredients.
• Record daily waste and ensure inventory controls.
• Maintain a clean, organized walk-in and kitchen for morning operations.
• Coordinate BOH and FOH teams to ensure smooth night shifts.
