Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Somerville, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Intensive Care Unit‑II at RWJ Somerset. This night shift, 36 hours per week, offers an hourly rate with a recruitment focus on clinical excellence and teamwork.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, safe medication administration, and collaboration with physicians to ensure quality care. A NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS, and EPIC experience are required; BSN preferred, 1 year acute care preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required.
• At least 1 year acute care experience preferred.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; EPIC EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes to intervene early.
• Provide safe, evidence‑based medications, treatments and hands-on care.
• Serve as clinical partner to physicians, offering insights for coordinated care decisions.
• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families for next care phase.
