Job summary

Sony Pictures Entertainment is seeking a night-shift GSOC Operator to join the Global Security Operations Center. You will monitor security systems, coordinate incident response, and support threat analysis to protect people, facilities, and events on a global scale.

In this fast-paced role, you will manage incidents, prepare clear situational briefings, and work with the GTA team on travel safety and crisis management. A 24/7 operation requires strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a Global Security Operations Center or similar command center.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Typing 60 words per minute entering data into CAD systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, Business, Emergency Management, Political Science, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred.
• Japanese language skills preferred but not required.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and coordinate response to incidents on company premises or sites of interest.
• Review, analyze, and elevate intelligence data to mitigate threats to people and assets.
• Review and elevate abnormal conditions to decision makers and stakeholders.
• Coordinate emergency response and craft clear communications during major incidents.
• Support social media threat monitoring and travel advisories for SPE personnel.
• Monitor security systems (access control, video, alarms, CAD, mass-notification).
• Partner with GTA on traveler security and duty of care efforts.
• Assist in developing location risk and incident assessments for SPE operations.
• Curate and update global distribution lists, location coordinates, and contact databases.
• Activate Incident Management Team during crises and deliver situational briefings.
