Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a Dock Worker 2 (Overnight 10p-6a) to join the Donated Goods Program. The role ensures efficient processing of donated goods, safe operation of forklift and equipment, and proper movement of items through the dock and outlet center to support mission funding.

The candidate should have at least a high school diploma, six months of material handler experience, and a forklift certification, with ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• GWH Forklift Certified.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to understand safety instructions, standard operating procedures, and workplace communications.
• Six (6) months of experience as a Material Handler, or equivalent work experience required.
• Proficiency in salvage tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift and other equipment safely.
• Ensures outlet store operations are aligned and consistent.
• Processes donated goods efficiently per GWH needs.
• Bales merchandise and groups items accordingly.
• Maintains accurate bale counts and daily logs.
• Assists with loading/unloading trucks and moving goods on dock.
