Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a Dock Worker to support the Donated Goods Retail operation and processing of donations. You will operate a forklift, assist in unloading and loading trucks, and ensure goods are processed efficiently while following safety and organizational policies.

This non-exempt, hourly position requires reliability and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma is preferred and forklift certification is desirable as part of the role at our Houston

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six (6) months of experience as a Material Handler or equivalent.
• Forklift certified.
• Proficiency in salvage tracking and reporting.
• Previous spotter experience preferred.
• Safety certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of loading techniques for salvage loads.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Punctual and dependable attendance.
• Free from alcohol and drugs.

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift and other assigned equipment in a safe manner.
• Processes donated goods efficiently and rotates products based on demand.
• Maintains accurate bale count and sorting of items.
• Assists with loading/unloading trucks and movement of goods on dock.
• Ensures outlet and donation center operations align with policies and procedures.
