Job summary

Burton Center for Disabilities and Special Needs is hiring for a full-time Direct Support Professional to support adults with disabilities in a Community Training Home. The role includes coaching, training, and hands-on care to promote quality of life, with training provided on-site.

The position is third shift, 40 hours weekly, with weekend coverage and in-person orientation. Expect duties such as personal care, meal prep, and documentation using Therap, plus driving Burton Center vehicles when

Qualifications

• SC Driver's License is required.
• Ability to lift or maneuver up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Adaptable, team player, and able to advocate for others.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to up to 4 adults in a Community Training Home.
• Implement person-centered training programs and encourage independence and community engagement.
• Assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and daily living activities as needed.
• Maintain progress notes using Therap and assist with vehicle operation as required.
