Job summary

Burton Center is seeking a full-time Direct Support Professional to join our Community Training Home program, supporting up to 4 adults with disabilities. The role emphasizes person-centered care, independence, and community engagement, with training provided throughout orientation and on-the-job coaching.

The position is a third shift (nights), Monday through Friday, 11:45pm–7:45am, totaling 40 hours per week. Candidates must be able to lift, stand for long periods, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Must have SC Driver's License.
• Ability to lift or maneuver up to 50lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Adaptable, a team player, and advocate for others.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to up to 4 adults in a Community Training Home.
• Implement person-centered training programs and promote independence.
• Assist with daily living activities, meals, and hygiene.
• Document progress and coordinate with Therap-based system.
• Operate Burton Center vehicles and follow safety procedures.
