Job summary

Burton Center for Disabilities and Special Needs is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a full-time, third shift position in a Residential Program (ICF). You will assist up to 8 adults with daily living, training, and community activities, including personal care and medication support.

Training on Therap and driving Burton Center vehicles is provided. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid SC Driver's License, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or ability to pass aptitude test.
• SC Driver's License.
• Ability to lift or maneuver up to 50lbs,
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time,
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to up to 8 adults in an Intermediate Care Facility.
• Implement training, promote independence and community engagement.
• Assist with activities of daily living, meals, medications, and transportation as needed.
• Complete progress reports and track objectives using Therap.
