Job summary

New York City Criminal Justice Agency (CJA) seeks a Court Representative for the Queens Supervised Release Program to support night-time arraignments and ensure compliant pretrial supervision. You will coordinate release, explain conditions, maintain records, and work with a multidisciplinary team.

Must have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years in the criminal legal system; OCA Secure Pass; bilingual encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the criminal legal system.
• Ability to obtain Office of Court Administration (OCA) Secure Pass.

Responsibilities

• Screen calendars and documents to identify prospective clients.
• Appear at night arraignments to provide program information and obligations.
• Maintain professional relationships with court staff to ensure credibility.
• Collect and organize court documents for case records.
• Orient new participants and explain conditions of supervision.
• Conduct intake if needed and provide crisis support.
• Distribute metro-cards and phones as needed and document usage.
• Ensure accurate documentation in databases and case records.
• Track compliance and report updates to courts.
• Participate in team meetings and trainings.
