Job summary

Advocate Health in Chicago, IL is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support the Nursing Float Pool. You will assist with patient care duties such as bathing, feeding, and mobility, while documenting data in the EMR and reporting observations to the RN.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED/HSED, BLS is preferred to be obtained within 45 days, and shifts are 7pm–7:30am with every other weekend via self-scheduling.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic records.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to perform essential patient care activities and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, hygiene, feeding and mobility.
• Record vital signs and measurements, maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Conduct rounds and communicate observations to RN promptly.
• Participate in admission, transfer and discharge processes with proper setup and handover.
• Collect specimens and assist with routine nursing duties as directed.
• Prepare and maintain patient areas and transport supplies safely.
