Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a part-time Nursing assistant to support RN staff. This 24-hour per week role involves 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and rotating holidays across sites.

Responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, documenting in EMR, and supporting admissions, transfers, and discharge under RN supervision. Requires BLS, Nurse Aide in good standing, and a GED or HS diploma.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, feeding, positioning) and ambulation.
• Take and document vitals (BP, TPR, I&O, daily weights) in EMR.
• Perform patient rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Handle errands, stock nursing area, clean equipment and rooms.
• Assist with patient transport and nutrition-related tasks.
• Maintain skin care and use of compression devices as needed.
• Follow infection control policies and wear protective equipment.
