Advocate Health Care in Barrington, IL is seeking a Part Time CNA to assist registered nurses with daily patient care during the night shift, including baths, feeding, mobility, and vital sign checks. You will document data in the EMR, participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges, and help maintain patient safety and comfort.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED/HSED, BLS within 45 days, and active Nurse Aide in good standing with the state registry.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs, I&O, daily weights, and other data; records in EMR accurately.
• Performs purposeful rounding and promptly communicates observations to the RN.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge processes including room setup and orientation.
• Collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens and performs point-of-care testing per approved process.
• Cleans equipment and work areas; maintains stock for nursing area; runs errands as directed.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties with proper technique and assistive devices.
• Supports nutritional needs by reviewing diets and tray setup/removal.
• Maintains skin integrity through proper repositioning and skin care; ensures supplies and appliances are provided.
• Requests removal of IVs and post-mortem care as directed by RN and site requirements.
• Practices infection prevention including hand hygiene and proper disposal of contaminated materials.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care principles and ability to assess patient data relevant to age-related needs.
