Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a Medical Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift. You will care for a variety of cardiac-related conditions in a collaborative, teaching-oriented environment with opportunities to advance to ICU, ED, and OR paths.

The role offers an 18% night differential and a flat $3/hour weekend shift differential, with a Nurse Clinical Ladder program and Magnet recognition backing our commitment to nursing excellence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, active RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification is required and may require renewal as per policy.
• Experience in acute/critical care is preferred for Banner Registry and Travel roles.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psychosocial, and discharge planning domains.
• Formulate and execute a care plan, including discharge planning with patient/family input.
• Implement and coordinate care per physician orders and nursing plan of care.
• Delegate and supervise care activities among the health care team to ensure safety and quality.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust the plan of care as needed in collaboration with the team.
• Document care activities accurately and communicate patient status to the care team.
