Job summary

Banner Health in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a licensed CNA or LNA to join the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) for night shifts. This full-time role runs three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with a generous 18% night differential and a $1/hour weekend differential.

You will provide routine patient care, document data, and support the care team in a fast-paced hospital setting. The CVPCU cares for surgical cardiac, thoracic and vascular patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current CNA license in state of practice is required.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience or customer service is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic hygiene.
• Collect patient data including vital signs and input/output.
• Report abnormalities to a licensed professional and communicate status to the care team.
• Assist with procedures and use of equipment (blood draws, catheters, EKG) under supervision.
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
• Maintain patient records, charting, and documentation in EMR.
• Monitor supplies and assist with ordering and equipment tracking.
• Assist with patient transport and OR turnover as needed.
• Work under supervision in a fast-paced, customer-service focused environment.
