Job summary

University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join our hospital team. This full-time role involves working variable shifts, with every third weekend required, to support inpatient care and clinical pharmacy services.

The position requires a BS in Pharmacy or PharmD, at least 1 year of pharmacy experience, and licensure by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Inpatient experience and ACPE IV sterile compounding certification are preferred for advanced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree - BS in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
• 1 year of pharmacy experience required; English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per policies and infection control standards.
• Enter orders accurately and review medication profiles.
• Assess therapeutic appropriateness and intervene when needed.
• Communicate drug information to physicians and nurses; educate patients.
• Oversee technicians and ensure proper handling of controlled substances.
• Support clinical program initiatives and participate in quality improvement.
