Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Alabama is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to Operating Company warehouse locations and turn around to deliver full trailers to domicile or shuttle yard locations. You will operate a tandem tractor/trailer and/or straight truck, following DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.

The role requires a CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, a clean MVR, and the ability to lift and move 60–90 lb. loads.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21+ and clean MVR in past 3 years.
• DOT health card and pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to handle 60–90 lb. loads and use equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections per DOT rules.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Inspect trailers for proper load security and paperwork.
• Operate vehicle on intrastate and interstate routes to move trailers.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs and related paperwork.
• Maintain clean and organized tractor/trailer areas.
• Perform other duties as needed to support operations.
