Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to move empty trailers to operating warehouses and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You will operate tandem trailers or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, maintaining DOT compliance and timely deliveries.

This role requires a Doubles endorsement, CDL A, and the ability to lift up to 90 pounds. Schedule is Sunday–Thursday nights with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits starting Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 6 months + commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work 3rd shift, Sunday–Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.
• Ability to lift up to 60–90 pounds and use equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT rules.
• Reports safety issues and required repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and safe driving policies.
• Ensures route paperwork is ready at dispatch.
• Drives and delivers trailers on predetermined routes.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Parks and stores tractor trailers properly.
• Secures equipment and freight at all times.
• Collects damaged goods and returns paperwork.
• Unloads equipment and cleans trailer areas.
• Keeps daily hours of service log.
• Performs general housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
