Job summary

Performance Food Group (New) is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and return with full trailers. You will operate tandem and tractor trailers on intrastate and interstate routes, adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards, and coordinating with customers and teammates.

Responsibilities include safety inspections, securing loads, completing paperwork, and maintaining logbooks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent required.
• 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all state licensing/certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work third shift, Sun-Thu nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Ability to lift 60–90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety inspections and ensures tractor/trailer meet DOT standards.
• Reports safety issues and required repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Inspects trailer for proper load and security.
• Ensures route paperwork is ready for dispatch.
• Drives and delivers trailers per schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook safely.
• Parks and stores equipment securely.
• Maintains secure freight and paperwork.
• Completes daily hours of service records.
• Maintains cleanliness in vehicle areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
