Kana Hotel Group is seeking a Front Desk/Guest Services Associate in Murfreesboro, TN. You will review arrivals, process check-ins, explain amenities, and keep the front desk welcoming and organized.

Requires a High School diploma or GED, customer service experience, and basic cash handling. Knowledge of the local area and amenities is preferred; promotion opportunities exist within the team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
• Customer service experience required.
• Experience handling cash and credit cards; basic math.
• Attention to detail and organized.
• Knowledge of hotel layout, amenities, and procedures.
• Knowledge of local area, businesses and attractions.

Responsibilities

• Review guaranteed arrivals and verify that credit cards are valid and not in use.
• Ensure day-use rooms are listed as dirty for housekeeping.
• Explain and provide promotional items to guests checking in.
• Explain hotel amenities to guests (breakfast, spa, fitness, voicemail).
• Document new commercial customers to open accounts.
• Identify why rooms are blocked and coordinate maintenance to unblock.
• Ensure rollaway beds and cribs are correctly listed in the system.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries or complaints.
• Offer alternatives if guest demands cannot be met.
• Cover other areas of hotel as needed.
• Document guest accidents with the accident report form.
• Complete the maintenance log when a complaint is reported.
• Maintain all front desk areas, keeping them clean and organized.
• Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
