Arbour Hospital seeks an Admissions Clinician for a part-time night/weekend role (11pm–7:30am) to support physicians with assessments, referrals, admissions, and insurance verification. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and coordination across referral sources, families, and unit staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related field required.
• LCSW, LICSW, LMHC or LMFT preferred.
• 1 year of prior psychiatric experience required.
• Knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria and mental status exam.
• Supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephone using appropriate greeting and collects clinical, demographic and insurance information.
• Performs telephonic risk screening to assess suicidality/homicidality.
• Demonstrates knowledge of admission criteria for inpatient/outpatient care and provides referrals.
• Schedules assessments with potential patients and referral sources.
• Promotes patient/family understanding of evaluation and admission process.
