Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. seeks an Admissions RN to perform telephonic and in-person risk assessments and guide referrals from intake to admission. The role involves coordinating referrals, communicating with families and staff, and supporting financial verification with the Business Office.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of two years in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
• Additional Requirements: CPR certification; training in Seclusion and Restraint within 30 days; Handle with Care and Service Excellence Training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and in-person risk assessment to assist physician in determining level of care.
• Act as initial contact with referral sources and potential patients; coordinate referral and intake process.
• Facilitate admission process and maintain communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.
• Coordinate with Business Office for patient financial data and verification; assist UR for certification of patients admitted.
