Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking an RN for admissions coordination in the Boston area. The role involves liaising with referral sources, families, payors, physicians, and hospital personnel to facilitate admissions.

You will verify insurance, triage patients, and complete admission paperwork while maintaining clear communication with patients, staff, and providers. The position is a 7pm–7am, 36-hour week on-site at Arbour Hospital.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts
• Education: Graduate of accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in psychiatric health care
• Other: Excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task and data-entry proficiency

Responsibilities

• Coordinate admissions processes and liaison with referral sources, families, payors, physicians, and hospital personnel involved with each admission
• Process inquiry and referral calls and respond with information on hospital and program admission
• Verify insurance, triage patients, enter calls and admissions in computer and complete all admission paperwork
• Effectively communicate with patients, physicians, staff, and referral sources
