Advocate Health Care in North Carolina seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join Respiratory Therapy Services in a 36-hour per week, full-time night shift. NICU experience is required, and a sign-on bonus is available.

The role involves conducting prescribed respiratory therapies, ventilator management, documentation, and collaborating with the care team. Prerequisites include NBRC RRT, state licensure, and BLS, with BSRT preferred.

Qualifications

• RRT credential required by NBRC.
• Current state licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner/RT.
• BLS for healthcare providers required.
• Advanced certification per facility/department.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates knowledge in various oxygen delivery modes and equipment; conducts prescribed therapies.
• Administers therapeutic procedures and explains purpose and benefits.
• Performs diagnostic procedures as per policy.
• Initiates and monitors mechanical and non-invasive ventilators in critical care.
• Evaluates current therapies and makes recommendations for plan of care.
• Documents therapy and results in EMR and communicates with the healthcare team.
• Initiates and modifies respiratory care techniques in emergencies.
• Performs blood sampling analysis and interprets results.
• Works independently across patient care areas and supports colleagues.
• Adheres to safety guidelines and completes regulatory requirements.
