Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, TX, seeks a Special Care Nursery Registered Respiratory Therapist to perform advanced respiratory care for neonates and adults during the 7PM–7AM night shift. You will assess, treat, and monitor patients under medical director supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

The role requires NICU experience, graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program, BLS/ACLS, NBRC registration, and Texas license, with NRP/PALS to be completed

Qualifications

• NICU/Special Care Nursery experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• NRP/PALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure in good standing required.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Minimum 6 months of respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapies including oxygen administration, aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and mechanical ventilation.
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function tests, and ECGs.
• Prepare treatment evaluations with patient assessment and chart review.
• Apply critical thinking to determine appropriate actions.
• Interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT data for patient care.
