Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center seeks a Special Care Nursery Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver neonatal and adult respiratory care on the 12X3 night shift. Responsibilities include ventilator support, ABG analysis, PFTs, and airway management under supervision.

Requires NICU experience, graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program, and current BLS with ACLS; NRP within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• NICU/Special Care Nursery experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current BLS and ACLS; NRP within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen, aerosols, IPPB, humidity therapy, airway maintenance and mechanical ventilation.
• Performs arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry and pulmonary function studies; reviews patient records.
• Interprets CXR, ABG and PFT data for clinical decisions.
• Assembles, operates, and troubleshoots cardiopulmonary equipment.
• Ensures infection control, safety and quality assurance in care areas.
• Provides care to adults and neonates in NICU/Special Care Nursery.
