Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in North Texas seeks a Special Care Nursery Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide ventilator support, ABG, PFT, and oxygen therapy for adults and neonates.

You will work a 12X3 Night shift (7P-7A) with indirect supervision by the medical director, and must hold Texas licensure, NBRC registration, and NICU experience. ACLS/BR examples required on hire.

Qualifications

• NICU/Special Care Nursery experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current BLS/ACLS certification; licensure in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen therapy, suctioning, humidity therapy and chest physiotherapy.
• Interprets ABG, PFT and other diagnostic data for patient care.
• Operates, maintains and troubleshoots cardiopulmonary equipment.
• Provides infection control, safety and quality assurance duties.
• Documents care plans and participates in patient assessments.
