Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
• Associate's RRT or RRT Equivalent required.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in NC.
• BLS required per policy.
• Advanced certifications per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of direct respiratory care per physician orders and approved protocols.
• Monitors and maintains ventilators and other cardiopulmonary life support equipment.
• Documents therapy and results in EMR; communicates with healthcare team.
• Responds to emergencies and provides patient education as needed.
• Completes regulatory requirements and annual proficiency evaluations.
