Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to join our hospital-based team. You will perform newborn hearing screens on-site at hospital locations and educate parents about results and next steps.

On-the-job training is provided, including annual American Academy of Audiology-accredited certification, to ensure high-quality early detection and timely intervention. As part of NYU Langone MC HS, the Hearing Screen Technician will collect patient data, perform screens,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CPR certification required or offered on offer.
• Excellent communication and ability to educate families about screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens on eligible babies in hospital settings.
• Collect data and demographics; ensure documentation is complete.
• Educate parents on results and importance of early intervention.
• Schedule outpatient follow-up for referred babies when appropriate.
• Adhere to PPE, safety policies and vaccination requirements.
