Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform and document newborn hearing screens at hospital locations, ensuring accurate data entry and parent education. The role requires providing high-quality care during screening and coordinating referrals when needed.

On-site hospital work, with on-the-job training and annual certification through the American Academy of Audiology. Flexibility for weekends/holidays is required as part of hospital coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Educate parents on the importance of early intervention.
• Document screen results and patient demographics accurately.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for referred babies when needed.
• Notify supervisor of missed screens and refer babies as appropriate.
• Follow all hospital policies, PPE and safety procedures.
