Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based newborn hearing screens and educate families on early intervention. On-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification are provided.

You will work on-site at hospital locations, with shifts starting 9 am and potential weekend/holiday rotations. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, patient education, and timely reporting of results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain on offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends/holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and educate parents on importance of early intervention.
• Ensure screens are completed with accurate data/demographics and documentation.
• Maintain compliance with PPE, vaccinations and hospital policies.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when needed.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed or refer cases.
• Upload screen results and state reports by end of shift.
