Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns. You will work on-site at Baptist Medical Center Jax with on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification.

Responsibilities include screens, parent education, and timely data entry and reporting. The role requires high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and weekend/holiday flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and educate parents on the importance of early intervention.
• Evaluate patient readiness for screening and collect necessary data for each baby; perform screens and document results.
• Upload screen results and billing/state reporting by end of each shift; ensure statistics are complete and reconciled.
