Job summary

The role is on-site at Baptist Medical Center Jax, with on-the-job training and annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology to improve early detection and intervention for hearing impairments. The position requires collecting baby demographics, ensuring accurate documentation, and educating families about screening results and next steps.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Collect data/demographics for each baby and ensure proper documentation.
• Educate parents about the importance of newborn hearing screens and early intervention.
• Upload screen results and billing information by end of each shift; reconcile statistics.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and referred babies and schedule outpatient appointments when needed.
• Adhere to PPE, safety protocols, and hospital orientations; maintain patient confidentiality.
