Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform infant hearing screens in hospital settings. This on-site role supports early detection of hearing loss and parental education, with on-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification.

This part-time position is located at HCA Houston Southeast. Shifts begin 8:00 AM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and alternating weekends, requiring flexibility and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays required

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing loss.
• Educate parents on the relevance of screening and early intervention.
• Document demographics and test results accurately.
• Follow PPE, safety, and hospital policies.
• Coordinate scheduling and reporting as needed.
