Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform newborn hearing screens in the hospital, on-site at Winchester Medical Center. This entry-level role includes on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification, enabling you to contribute to early detection and timely intervention for newborns.

Shifts are daytime/afternoon, about 6 hours, less than 20 hours weekly, with some weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required or obtained upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform hearing screens for newborns in hospital settings.
• Educate parents on the importance of hearing screening and early intervention.
• Ensure accurate data collection and documentation for each baby.
• Follow PPE, vaccination, safety and compliance protocols.
• Communicate with Site Supervisor about missed screens and refer babies as needed.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for referred babies when appropriate.
